A bit more information: Set in a beautiful, detached former cottage hospital, 30 Old Church Lane supports eight adults in their 30s and 40s who have lived together for many years and share strong social bonds.
The people we support lead active, varied lives and enjoy being part of the community seven days a week. Interests include football, pop music, West End shows, dancing, shopping, Star Wars, crazy golf, cookery, and volunteering. Many attend day centres, religious events, discos, and engage in fundraising and employment projects.
Residents use a range of communication tools including Makaton, Easy Read, objects of reference, social stories, and body language. You’ll be supported to learn how best to communicate with each person and ensure their needs, rights and routines are at the centre of their day.
