Senior Corporate Fundraiser (Maternity Cover)

Contract: Fixed Term (6 months Maternity Cover)

 

About the Role

As Senior Corporate Fundraiser, you will play a central role in developing and growing Norwood’s corporate fundraising and sponsorship activity.

You will focus on securing event sponsorship, building long-term corporate partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to engage businesses in meaningful and impactful ways.

This role blends income generation with relationship development, working with corporate supporters across sponsorship, charity of the year partnerships, employee fundraising, and strategic collaborations.

You will ensure relationships are not one-off transactions, but are nurtured into long-term partnerships that support Norwood’s wider mission.

You will:

  • Secure and grow corporate sponsorship income across events and initiatives
  • Build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners
  • Develop compelling sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities
  • Identify and cultivate new corporate supporters and partnerships
  • Deliver high-quality stewardship to encourage repeat and increased support
  • Work collaboratively with Events, Donor Engagement, Marketing and Data teams
  • Contribute to building a sustainable pipeline of corporate income

Your Day to Day

You will:

  • Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of corporate supporters and prospects
  • Secure sponsorship for events and fundraising initiatives
  • Develop tailored proposals and partnership opportunities aligned to corporate objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including charity partnerships and employee engagement programmes
  • Deliver excellent stewardship, reporting and communication to corporate partners
  • Work with the Events team to ensure high-quality sponsor experiences and visibility
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities across corporate and individual giving
  • Support event planning through sponsor targeting, guest recruitment and stakeholder engagement
  • Engage committees, senior volunteers and networks to unlock corporate opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of corporate activity, income and pipeline within the CRM
  • Represent Norwood at events, networking opportunities and external meetings

Your impact will be demonstrated through:

  • Growth in corporate sponsorship and partnership income

Qualifications, Experience & Training
Essential

  • Experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, sponsorship or business development
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Experience delivering against income or revenue targets
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised and target-focused approach
  • Ability to represent Norwood professionally and confidently
  • Experience using CRM systems or databases to manage relationships and pipeline activity

Desirable

  • Experience managing event sponsorship
  • Experience developing long-term corporate partnerships
  • Experience within a charity, fundraising or values-led environment
  • Awareness of the Jewish community

A bit more information:  Norwood’s Broadway House, located at 80 - 82 The Broadway, Stanmore HA7 4HB, is the charity’s head office and main administrative base.

It brings together Governance, Leadership, Fundraising, Finance, People and Culture, and Marketing and Communications, providing coordination and support to Children & Family Services and Adult Services.

The office supports Norwood’s mission to help people with neurodevelopmental disabilities, their families, and children in need across London and the South East.  It is also the main point of contact for referrals, general enquiries, and charity business.
